The Open Compute Project (OCP) was founded by Meta, Rackspace and Intel in 2011 to apply open-source principles to data center hardware design with the goal of increasing innovation while reducing cost. Eaton has been an OCP member since 2017, continually displaying new products at the annual OCP Global Summit.

Combining OCP innovation with off-the-shelf convenience

With preconfigured, tested and validated solutions, Eaton allows its customers to deploy OCP ORV3 racks for testing or production without making a costly engineering commitment. Eaton’s reference designs are also fully customizable to meet the needs of individual customers and IT environments.

The vertical ORV3 busbar distributes DC power from a power shelf to equipment mounted in the open rack through convenient blind-mate power connections.

The ORV3 rack offers a versatile range of mounting solutions, supporting both 19-inch EIA equipment and 21-inch OCP equipment. The open rack enclosure is available with or without an integrated ORV3 busbar and is also available in an HPR configuration.

 

Power Shelf

The ORV3 power shelf provides up to 33 kW of DC power (26.5 kW N+1). It connects to the busbar through a convenient blind-mate power connection.
